Elemental becomes the first patron of a higher education institution in Poland – a pioneering step in education-business collaboration

Elemental, a global leader in the urban mining industry, has become the first patron of Kozminski University, a globally recognized Polish business school, introducing a new model of collaboration between education and business. The company has committed to providing PLN 2.4 million over the next three years to support key university projects.

The announcement of this strategic partnership between Kozminski University and Elemental Group will take place during the ceremonial inauguration of the 2024/2025 academic year, in the presence of representatives from the government, business, and academia. Through this collaboration, the concept of patronage, traditionally understood as a form of support for arts and science, gains a broader dimension, emphasizing the development of education.

We are proud that a Polish leader in global market innovation, such as Elemental, joins forces with our university and supports us in such a meaningful way. Patronage is not only an expression of trust but also a significant step towards shaping the future of education in our regionemphasized Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.

Elemental Group will contribute PLN 800,000 to the university’s endowment fund—the first such fund in Poland’s academic environment. The income generated from the endowment will ensure stable and long-term growth for the university, supporting scholarship programs, the development of academic staff, and scientific research.

The endowment is the cornerstone of our long-term growth. Thanks to the support of companies like Elemental, we can pursue ambitious goals and pioneering educational projects, all centered on shaping the future – highlighted Dr. Sylwia Hałas-Dej, President of the Kozminski University Development Foundation.
